Introducing the Millentic MCP and API.
Millentic
Product update
For a while now, we have quietly offered the Millentic MCP to our customers, letting their AI agents operate Millentic directly. Today we are making it official, and releasing the Millentic API alongside it, available to our more advanced customers.
Millentic is infrastructure for financial operations. It connects your systems, consolidates their data, automates the work between them, and controls your AI agents. Until now, most customers used it in the Workspace or through apps built on Millentic, while a few connected their agents through MCP. Now MCP is open to every customer, and with the API, your own systems can use Millentic too.
MCP: quietly in use, now official
We built the Millentic MCP server because our customers were already using AI agents, and wanted those agents to do real work on their financial data. Not on a copy, and not without rules.
Through MCP, an agent can query data, build automations and run operations in Millentic, with the same access controls, approvals and audit trail as the people on the team. Ask for a weekly report on overdue invoices, and the agent creates it in the Workspace, with your permissions, visible to everyone who needs to see it.
We kept it low-key on purpose. We wanted it running in real customer operations before we talked about it publicly. It has changed how those customers build, and it is ready for everyone. But agents are not the only thing that needs governed financial data.
Why an API, and why now
The customers who went furthest with Millentic kept asking the same question: if the data is clean, governed and live in Millentic, why can their other systems not read it directly? Their products, data warehouses and internal tools were still being fed by exports and one-off integrations, outside the controls they had set up.
The Millentic API answers that. Your systems call Millentic directly and use it as infrastructure for integrations and data, with one API across the systems it connects:
- Query governed models: filter, group and page through the same models your team and agents use, returned as JSON.
- Scoped API keys: every key carries its own permissions, so each call is limited to what it needs.
- The same governance: every call is logged with the same audit trail as the Workspace and MCP.
One set of rules, every way in
With the API, the circle is complete. Whether it is a person in the Workspace, an agent through MCP, a system through the API, or a customer in an app built on Millentic, everyone works on the same data, under the same permissions, with every action traceable back to its source.
That is the point. Financial operations should not need a separate integration, a separate permission model and a separate audit trail for every new consumer of the data. They need one infrastructure that everything runs on.
Getting access
The API is available today to our more advanced customers, working with us on integrations and data at scale. If you are already a customer, talk to your contact at Millentic. If you are not, book a call and tell us what you want to connect.
